Seventh... A little introduction of Palestine

The Capital of Palestine is Jerusalem. A person from Palestine is called Palestinian.

The term "Palestinian territories" is used by many mainstream Western journalists as a collective name for the West Bank and the Gaza Strip — two territories in Palestine. The Palestinian people seek to found an independent Palestinian state in these non-sovereign areas.

After the collapse of the Ottoman Empire that ruled the region for four centuries (1517-1917), these areas have been a part of the British Mandate of Palestine and were allotted to the proposed Arab state under United Nations Partition Plan of 1947. For nineteen years that followed the end of the Mandate until the 1967 Six Day War, Egypt occupied the Gaza Strip and Jordan occupied the West Bank and annexed East Jerusalem but no Palestinian state was created there.
